For a decentralized organization as large as the American Red Cross, managing a consistent brand identity can be a challenge. By conducting a communications audit of 780 local offices, IridiumGroup discovered several ways that our group could help apply the standards consistently. After a brand health-check report, a presentation made to the client team from the national headquarters and representatives from local chapters, we prepared a plan to simplify and unify the visual identity system and related elements of the brand. Through our front-end research and collaboration with many of the local staff and volunteers, we were able to develop a new system and tools that were inspirational, engaging, fun and easy to apply, which were supported eagerly and implemented successfully across all levels of the organization.
