United Nations Federal Credit Union, with over $2.5 Billion in assets and 82,000+ members in over 205 countries worldwide, is a global financial services cooperative. UNFCU needed to refresh its brand identity, reflecting an alignment with the institution's complex, multinational business and diverse member community. IridiumGroup updated the visual identity system and evolved the brand image, working to emphasize an emotional appeal for members, incorporating ideas of partnership and community.

IridiumGroup worked to uncover ways to more effectively communicate the variety of product and service offerings for members, and to highlight the unique benefits available through UNFCU. Differentiating the credit union from a traditional bank and promoting the idea of exclusive membership were key goals. The resulting brand system stretched across platforms into a visual merchandising system, promotional literature and corporate collateral. For locations in Geneva, Nairobi, Vienna, Rome, and New York, specific in-branch signage, fixtures, and standing kiosks were designed and implemented.

IridiumGroup continues its close partnership with UNFCU through international campaigns which include printed and digital/interactive initiatives. We recently developed a worldwide brand image campaign which was showcased in branches, on the website and through email. It has served to unite the member community under the theme "You are UNFCU."
